 Margaret Sugar

Welcome to Margaret Sugar's website. This is a celebration of Margie's life & impact on so many people over the years.

On August 8th, Margie was diagnosed with an aggressive, rare (poorly-differentiated neuroendocrine) cancer which ended her life on October 14th. Margie remained positive and content through her illness. Realistic about not fighting it, instead she continued to connect with her many friends and family, setting another example on how to live our own lives in the face of adversity, with serenity & peace.

Margie lived her life large, set a model for us all, and we should cherish our time with her. Feel free to browse all the blogs, look at some photos, or enter your brief comments, or longer remembrances.

Off to View the Fall Colors

Yesterday Mom headed out to Peak-to-Peak Highway with three friends from her Tulsa days to view the fall colors. The aspens are turning now and the sights were apparently quite nice. Right now she's headed off to lunch with them too!

Monday and Tuesday Margie & Mack headed back up to her Dillon Valley East condo and approved the carpet cleaning done by 4 Knights, took out a bunch of food that had been left behind and generally neaten'ed up, in preparation for selling this condo that has provided so much joy to our extended family and friends over the past ~30 years.

Margie just reported that her abdominal tumors are getting enlarged again (as I first heard about 6 or 7 days ago now) and is dialing up her pain medication a bit, but is still walking and eating normally, without much pain or nausea.
